Baillie Hay is the latest addition to the range of high-quality forage products. This traditional meadow hay, with a variety of grasses, is proving to be extremely palatable - horses and ponies love it!
Due to increasing dry summers, drought conditions have dramatically affected yields of forage. This meant that stocks of hay and haylage in England are massively reduced.
In the autumn of 2025, Baillie launched Baillie Hay to offer customers an alternative forage, to help ensure valued customers can continue to rely on Baillie Haylage for a consistent supply of high-quality forage.
Baillie Hay is bagged to allow for convenient storage, and is only available in our customer favourite handy bale size.
The additional fibre content will encourage them to take more time over their forage, so suitable for ad-lib feeding to prevent boredom and maintain a healthy digestive system, particularly during times of stabling.
